Abir Chermiti is a woman of many hats, all of them adorned with brilliant success stories. Her journey began in Tunisia as a Software Engineer, where she discovered her love for technology. Her leadership roles in the nonprofit such as IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), Arab Women In Computing (ArabWIC) and Engineering For Change LLC are only the beginning of her remarkable career journey.
Her passion for making a difference in the world has led her to volunteer with various organizations over the years, honing her skills in problem-solving and teamwork. She is a shining example of excellence, having been recognized by IEEE Women In Engineering as the Most Inspiring Student Member of the year 2017. This prestigious award was a testament to her dedication to her craft and her tireless efforts to empower women in the tech industry. In a bid to further break down the barriers faced by women in technology, Abir founded the first-ever women in technology summit in Tunisia, the IEEE Women in Engineering Leadership Summit in 2018.
As a member of IEEE, the world’s largest organization of engineers, for eight years, she has been an International Speaker on many IEEE events, seminars, and conferences, where she has shared her expertise and insights with fellow engineers from around the world. She’s a highly sought-after International Speaker on topics such as tech, female entrepreneurship, and career growth. She has graced multiple stages across all continents, including India, Kenya, UAE, Qatar, and the USA, where she has shared her wealth of knowledge and experience with a global audience.
