Health care professional since 2002, medical assistant, clinical lab manager, massage therapist and holistic practitioner, turned serial entrepreneur, 2x best selling author, 2023 mentor of the year, founded the largest minority spa professionals community in the world Spa Boss Tribe that has birthed over 207 figure spa pros.

How did you get started with entrepreneurship?

I was turning 30 and was ready for something new. I went to college and always had a job but never in my study of business administration. I decided to give entrepreneurship a try as I didn’t want to start at the bottom with a new company.

What are challenges that you have faced and how you managed to overcome them on your journey?

Funding and balance. Mom guilt is so real. Missing important moments used to eat me up until I realized I control my schedule now I shift every around to ensure I don’t miss special memories with my kids I didn’t get funding until 7 years in business it was a game changer for me.

How do you balance the demand of your work and personal life? “The myth of work-life balance.”

To be honest I try my best I shift my schedule a round now as my kids will tell me about a performance the week of. I also Make sure each month I add family time to my calendar. My kids have been really enjoying our time together. I just spent 7 days out of town celebrating my 22 year old birthday. It was amazing to be a great mom and business woman at the same time.

Do you think the pandemic has helped the rise of female entrepreneurship? or did it affect your business?

It definitely affected  owners as we found not work this forced many to start passive income and digital business.

Do you use technology in your business, and how are new technologies are shaping the future of business?

Yes I use automation systems, bots and all it helps with my time freedom and business operations

Do you have a Female Role Model, Who? and Why ?

I have so many mentors Mary Seats is one of my favorite @mzskittlez on instagram I remember meeting her when I first moved to Atlanta and she constantly poured into me over and over I used everything she taught me and built a 7 figure brand it’s many others who are apart of my journey

How do you approach leadership and mentorship, and what advice would you give to other women looking to become CEOs?

I’m always learning. I have coaches for business and personal development including my therapist to help me when I feel like life is life-ing I read a lot of books I even have a book club we meet every month. If you have the desire to a CEO you need to BOLD.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, what message do you have for moms and working moms everywhere?

Salute to all the moms we are the real super hero’s that make the world go round.
