Kirsten Franklin is a transformation coach, author, speaker, and founder whose journey into entrepreneurship is defined by resilience, reinvention, and an unrelenting commitment to personal and professional growth. Her story is not one of linear success—but of rebuilding, redefining, and ultimately mastering what it means to lead from the inside out.
An Entrepreneurial Spirit from the Start
Kirsten’s entrepreneurial instinct showed up early. As a child, the first toy she remembers asking for was a cash register—a signal of what would later become a lifelong drive to build and own businesses. Her professional path initially led her to law, where she practiced as an attorney. Despite external success, she found herself unfulfilled and made the bold decision to leave behind stability to launch her first venture: a real estate title company and legal consulting firm.

When the Market Crashed—and Life Along with It
Early success created a false sense of invincibility. The market was strong, business came easily, and Kirsten admits she didn’t yet understand what it truly meant to build a resilient business. That illusion shattered during the 2007–2008 global financial crisis. As the market collapsed, so did her business—and her life.
Kirsten became homeless while having just given birth to her first and only child, navigating survival as a fully single parent. What followed was a profound “dark night of the soul,” marked by years of learning, pivoting, and deep inner work. Drawing on her love of science, psychology, and spirituality, she rebuilt—this time with intention. She went on to create a successful legal recruiting business, proving that recovery is possible, even when the odds feel insurmountable.
Leadership Rooted in Holistic Growth
Kirsten’s approach to leadership and mentorship is unapologetically holistic. She believes mindset is the single most powerful driver of outcomes—personally and professionally. Her advice to aspiring women CEOs is clear: leadership begins internally. Doing the mindset work, personal development, and professional growth is not optional—it is the foundation for becoming the leader you aspire to be.
This philosophy now underpins her work as a transformation coach, where she supports executives, founders, and high-performing individuals in mastering their mindset, processes, and performance.
Redefining the Myth of Work–Life Balance
As a single parent building a demanding business, Kirsten rejected the traditional narrative of work–life balance early on. Her child came first—always—with non-negotiables around presence, attention, and boundaries. She normalized bringing her daughter into professional spaces, even when high-stakes deals were on the line, choosing alignment over conformity.
To Kirsten, balance is not about working less—it’s about control, flexibility, and systems. Entrepreneurship, she explains, doesn’t mean unlimited free time; it means the ability to design your schedule. Once systems and teams are in place, time becomes an asset—and often, freedom creates space for new ventures rather than rest.
The Pandemic and the Rise of Female Entrepreneurship
Kirsten sees the pandemic as both a disruptor and a catalyst. It exposed the realities of everyday life—children, chaos, caregiving—and gave women permission to show up as they are. It also accelerated the adoption of digital tools and remote work, lowering barriers for entrepreneurship and side hustles.
For her own business, the shift enabled greater reach and flexibility. While she values in-person connection, virtual work allowed her to serve clients globally, including across Australia, expanding her impact beyond borders.
Technology as a Non-Negotiable
Kirsten is unequivocal about technology’s role in the future of business: those who refuse to adapt will become obsolete—quickly. Digital tools, remote platforms, and emerging technologies are no longer optional; they are essential infrastructure for scalability, access, and relevance.
A Leader Forged Through Experience
Kirsten Franklin’s leadership is not theoretical—it is lived. From homelessness to high-level coaching, from survival mode to strategic mastery, her work is grounded in experience, empathy, and execution. She represents a powerful truth for women leaders everywhere: success is not defined by never falling, but by the courage to rebuild—and the wisdom to lead differently because of it.
